Acceptable use policy
Last updated October 13, 2026
Keryx helps you find businesses that need what you sell and write to them like a person would. This policy keeps it that way, for the people you contact, for other Keryx customers who share our reputation with inbox providers, and for you. It's part of our terms of service and applies to everyone using Keryx and everything sent through it.
Who you contact
- Use Keryx to contact businesses about something relevant to their business.
- Don't upload or email purchased, rented, shared or scraped lists, or addresses gathered by harvesting websites. Contacts you import must be ones you collected lawfully yourself, such as your own customers and people who gave you their details.
- Don't contact anyone who has opted out of hearing from you, whether they opted out in Keryx or somewhere else.
- Don't use Keryx to contact people for personal or household purposes, or to contact children.
What you send
- Be honest about who you are. Use your real name, your business's name and a mailbox on a domain you control.
- No deceptive content: no false or misleading sender details or subject lines, no fake "Re:" or "Fwd:", no pretending to be someone else, no false claims about your product, prices or results, and no invented urgency.
- Make clear that commercial email is a solicitation or ad, and keep the mailing address and opt-out line Keryx adds.
- Don't send anything illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit, and don't promote illegal products or services.
- Don't send malware, phishing, links meant to trick people, or anything that asks for passwords or payment details under false pretenses.
Opt-outs
- Honor every opt-out, and do it within 10 business days at the latest. Keryx stops outreach and adds the business to your do-not-contact list automatically when someone unsubscribes; don't undo that or work around it.
- Don't remove or hide the opt-out line, and don't ask for anything more than a reply or a click to opt out.
- Don't move an opted-out contact to another workspace, mailbox or tool to keep contacting them.
AI disclosure
- Keep the "AI assisted" label on messages the AI writes. Don't remove it, hide it or edit it out.
- Don't tell anyone the assistant is a person, and don't instruct it to deny being an AI.
- Review what the AI writes before you let it send on its own, and correct anything that isn't true.
Calls and texts
Keryx doesn't place calls or send mass text messages. If you call or text businesses using the queue and scripts Keryx prepares, follow the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, do-not-call rules and any state laws that apply.
Fair use and limits
- Keep to the daily sending limits and send windows Keryx sets for each mailbox, and don't try to get around them, for example by opening extra accounts or rotating new domains to avoid a poor reputation.
- Keep bounces and spam complaints low. If they rise, Keryx may slow or pause sending from a mailbox to protect it and other customers.
- Each person who uses Keryx needs their own seat. Don't share logins.
- One free trial per business. Don't open new trials to get more free credits or searches.
- Use business listings from Google only to find and contact businesses through Keryx. Don't export them to resell or to build a separate database.
Protecting the service
- Don't try to get into accounts, data or systems that aren't yours, or test Keryx's security without our written permission.
- Don't scrape Keryx, overload it, or use bots to get around its limits.
- Don't copy, resell or reverse engineer Keryx, or use it to build a competing product.
What happens if this policy is broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, pause sending from a mailbox, remove content, suspend your account or close it. When we can, we'll tell you what happened and give you a chance to fix it first. If something puts people or the service at risk, we may act right away. We may also report illegal activity to the authorities.
Report a problem
If you got an unwanted or abusive email sent through Keryx, use its opt-out link, and tell us at hello@trykeryx.com so we can look into it. Please include the email if you can.
